Ana Maria Cristina Polo Gonzalez was born in Havana, Cuba. The family moved to Miami after she reached two years old. Ana Polo Gonzalez was raised in Havana Cuba and moved with her family to Miami at the age of two. Ana Maria Polo from Habana is the presenter and host for Telemundo's "Caso Cerrado", one of the most popular Spanish-language shows on the network. It was a finalist for an Emmy for Daytime Entertainment Emmy for Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards in 2015. In 2015 it ranked as the highest for all the key demos. Polo, born on April 11th of 1959, Havana Cuba was a graduate of Florida International University in Political Sciences. Then, she obtained her PhD in law from The University of Miami. For twenty years, she practiced law in Miami. After obtaining her PhD at the University of Miami she practiced law in Miami for over 20 years. Polo was first introduced to the public via television in 2001, on Telemundo's Sala de Parejas (2001) as well as other court shows in which the legal skills of her was showcased. Literature Accolades and Literary works In the year 1958, she published her novel Los Hijos Muertos. It received the Critic's Prize for Literature, as well as the Spanish National Prize for Literature. Ana Maria Matute moved to the United States from Spain in 1960. Polo is a survivor of breast cancer and regularly gives public speeches in order to raise funds. She has been a strong advocate for LGBT rights for the majority of her career. She is a 1987 graduate of The University of Miami School of Law and is a Florida Bar member.
