She made her debut as a filmmaker with the short film THE GOD WHO SEEKS, with Nicole C. Mullen. They wrote all the music to the film. Gifford provides support to a variety of child-related organizations, such as Childhelp as well as the Association to Benefit Children which led to Cassidy's House and Cody House named for her two sons. Her work within the realm of labour relations have led to her receiving an honorary doctorate degree from Marymount University.
